Fed up of being repeatedly raped by her father for the last three years, a 23-year-old woman murdered him with the help of her two paramours. 58-year-old Daljeet Singh worked as a driver with a travel agency and lived alone with his youngest unmarried daughter Kulvinder Kaur. His wife had died three years ago while the other two daughters are married and live separately.
Daljeet Singh had allegedly been raping his daughter ever since the death of his wife and unable to take the torture anymore the woman decided to end it all by killing him. Investigations have revealed that the woman and her two lovers overpowered her 58-year-old father, attacked him with a cricket stump and strangled him. The killers then ripped open his chest with a broken glass piece and removed his pacemaker in order to ensure that he was dead.
The woman was later arrested by the West district police on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy. When asked about the barbaric murder, Additional Commissioner of Police, West district Ranbir Singh said: “Kulvinder Kaur killed her 58-year-old father Daljeet Singh on the intervening night of April 29 and 30 with the help of two of her friends identified as Prince Sandhu (22) and Ashok Sharma, alias Manish, alias Goku (23). The trio has been arrested by Khayala Police”.
On the fateful night, Kulvinder Kaur opened the door of her house to let Sandhu and Sharma in. With Kaur’s help they overpowered Daljeet Singh who was sleeping at that time. They attacked him with a cricket stump and then strangled him. “Thereafter they cut open his chest with a piece of broken glass and took out the pacemaker. Then they tied his legs and neck with the help of a cable wire and dumped the body near a canal in Khayala area of West Delhi which was discovered in the morning by the police,” said Singh.
Police have also recovered the cricket wicket (weapon of offence), blood stained cloths, the cable wire, mobile phones of the deceased and the accused and the blood stained white Innova that was used to dump the body. A team under the supervision of Inspector Tanvir Ashraf, the Station House Officer of Khayala Police Station worked round-the-clock for two days to identify the body.
Once the accused came to know that the body had been identified they parked the car in a deserted place in Mohan Garden area of Uttam Nagar. “On questioning, Kaur initially told the police that her father had left home on April 30 at 5 am in a car for a tour. But this information later turned out to be false. On cross examination, she confessed her involvement in the murder of her own father along with her two friends,” the Additional CP added.
She claimed that she killed her father because she was repeatedly being sexually assaulted by him after the death of her mother, police said. She allegedly also told the police that while the two friends had gone out to dump the body, she remained at home and tried to clean the blood stains. Forensic experts have detected blood stains at various places in the room. “At her instance, the blood-stained weapon of offence and clothes were also recovered,” said Singh.
