A 22-year-old engineering student from Andhra Pradesh, who accused her seniors of raping her, filming the act and using it to blackmail her, had more troubles in store as the third student in possession of the crime video demanded sexual favours from her or a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.
In her complaint to the police, the victim said two of her seniors took her to a birthday party in February last year, where they spiked her drink and raped her. They filmed the act and continued to assault her, police said.
However, the college in Agiripalli in Krishna district rather than reporting the matter to police asked the accused to delete the video and say sorry to the girl. The accused, Vamshi and Siva Reddy, shared the video with their classmates.
Two months ago, the girl was threatened by a third student, Praveen, who had a copy of the video. He demanded sexual favours from her or Rs 10 lakh. The girl then approached the police and filed a complaint. All the three students have been arrested, police said on Saturday.
