A three-and-half-year-old student, Ansh Sharma, lost his life after falling into a borewell near the gate of Forebell Public School in Bhangel village in Noida on Monday. The incident took place around 2 pm when the victim was returning home from school. Souces said, the child did not spot the uncovered borewell and slipped into it.

Mamta Sharma, the deceased’s mother and a teacher in the same school, on not finding him at home started searching for him in the neighbourhood. At around 3 pm the deceased was spotted in the well. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

“We did not send the body for post-mortem but handed it over to the family. We are planning to file a case against the owner of the school, Vinod Chauhan, under appropriate sections as it appears to be a case of negligence on the part of the school administration,” RK Mishra, Circle Officer-III, Noida said.

Ansh, a resident of Khatauli in Meerut district, was living with his parents in a rented accommodation in Bhangel area. His father Ashwani Sharma is an engineer working with a private company in Noida Sector-60.
