Egyptian security forces stormed Al-Fateh mosque near Ramses Square in central Cairo on Saturday where hundreds of pro-Morsi supporters were holed up after trading heavy gunfire with Islamists and cleared it of all protesters. Several were arrested. Street fighting toll went up to 180.

Ammar Badie, son of Brotherhood’s Supreme leader Mohamed Badie, died of a bullet wound in Ramses Square during protests on Friday. The grandson of Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna was also killed in Friday. Meanwhile, Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi has proposed the legal dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Government is studying the idea, a Government spokesman said. Interim leaders imposed a state of emergency with dusk-to-dawn curfews in the capital and the Ministry authorised police to use live ammunition “within a legal framework”. Brotherhood has been on the streets since July 3 after the army deposed Morsi.
