A day after the Delhi Police busted a spy ring with a Pakistani Diplomat Mahmood Akhtar as its kingpin, a police official investigating the case said there are two more spies identified as Mehar Khatoon and Umar Deen, both Pakistani nationals, who are on the run.
“Khatoon and Deen had access to military and Army installments/establishments. They used to pass on classified intelligence documents to Ramzan and Jangir (arrested on Thursday), who in turn would hand over the same to (diplomat) Akhtar,” said a senior police official.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch took the custody of Shoaib, a visa agent who was coordinating with Akhtar and another spy, on Friday. Police said Shoaib was the one who had introduced Khatoon and Deen to the two arrested spies.
