A Class IX girl was gangraped by her three friends who live in the same locality in West Delhi’s Ranhola area on Saturday, police said on Monday.
According to the FIR, the girl was walking to her school on Saturday morning when the three youths approached her in a Hyundai Accent car and dragged her inside.
“They drove her to a secluded plot where they raped her,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Pushpendra Kumar.
They later dropped the victim near her home in the evening, said police. After she narrated her ordeal, her parents informed police about the
incident.
The victim studies in a local Government school and lives with her parents in Ranhola. Her mother is an MCD employee, while her father is a trader.
Besides registering a case of rape, police have slapped Sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act on the accused, who are absconding. Further probe is underway.
