474 Delhi voters are aged 100 & above
Delhi has 474 voters aged 100 years and above. There are 226 women and 248 men in this list. Among the 100 plus year-old voters, 10 are 120 years and above. Five of them are women. The longevity of age in the Capital can be gauged from the fact that there are 91,318 people who are above 80 years of age and they are all registered in the voters’ list.
According to the draft of the Delhi’s electoral roll, there are 474 people, including 226 women and 248 men, in the city who are 100 years and above. Out of 474 voters, 10 are aged 125 years, one at 120, one at 119, one at 118, eight people at 114, 12 at 113, 24 at 112, six at 110, 29 at 107, 38 at 106, 20 at 105, 35 at 104, 34 at 103, 61 at 102, 38 at 101 and 119.
Interestingly, at least 154 voters aged 100 years and above voted in the Assembly polls in 2013. As per data, lila Rawat, 125, is a resident of 279/G-20, Sushant Vihar, Village Ibrahimpur of Burari constituency and her voter card no. is AZK 2954731. Baby Kumar Devi, (125), is a resident of KH-779, Harijan Basti, Community Centre, Main Road Siraspur. Her voter id card no. is TSO 3050788. Monika Shukla, a resident of House No. 21 Rajiv Nagar Extension Begumpur is 125 years old and her voter card no. is NEJ 3281473. Narayan lal, fourth member of this exclusive club, is a resident of T-44A, Baljeet Nagar and his electoral id card no. is TCE 2277431.
Shailendra is also 125 years old and his card no. is NRX 3524997. His residential address is 482 Bharthal village. Durgesh Panwar’s electoral identity card no. is UBV 2205656. His residential address is 12 Ber Sarai village. Vidhya Devi is also 125 year old and she resides in Dakshin Puri Extension Dr Ambedkar Nagar. Her voter identity card no. is ZXD 2468781. Gudiya Devi, aged 125 and her voter identity card no. is TAX 2155729. She resides at A-599 Block A, New Ashok Nagar. Kiran Kumar, a resident of A-100, Block A Madhu Vihar, is 125 years old and his voter identity card no. is TlE2026251. Nizimuddin is 125 years old and his voter identity card no. is NSF 3193017.
As per data available, 15 such voters who are over 100 years and above are in Timarpur and Hari Nagar; 13 in Bawana; 10 in Shalimar Bagh; nine in Janakpuri and eight in Karawal Nagar. “During the scrutiny of draft rolls, it was revealed that a large number of people in Delhi are above the age of 100 years. The electoral office of Delhi has directed Electoral Registration Officers and Deputy Commissioners (Revenue) to visit personally to verify the identity cards of the voters and ascertain that all details are correctly mentioned in the electoral rolls. The final list of electoral rolls will be published by next month,” Vijay Dev, Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi said.
The breakup of those over 100 years of age is quite interesting. Kamal, a resident of Govindpuri, is 118 years old, while Priyanka, who resides at JJ Colony, Bakkarwala, is 114. Ramesh Singh Negi, Dilip Singh, Prem Bahadur Balvinder Kumar Goura, Sunita, Vijender and Vinod Kumar are also 114 years old. Kamar Jahn, Prem Chand, Santosh, Phooleshwer, Rakesh, Jemol Anna Thomas Vada Kekra, Kavita, Kanta Sharma, Swarna Devi, Yogesh Kumar, Santosh, Mohammad and Afroz Alam are 113 years old and are enrolled in the city’s voter list. Similarly Niladri Sharma, Shanta Devi, S Srivatsan, Ashok Kumar Singh, Ravi, Mira, Jodh Ram, Basanti, Raj Kumar, Raj Kumar Singh, Ajay, Deepak Kr, Sanjay Bahadur, Bhagwanti Pahwa, Anil Kumar and Manita are in the age group of 112 years.
