The BJP on Saturday found itself in an embarrassing situation with its Ara MP RK Singh alleging that party tickets for the Bihar Assembly polls were being denied to sitting MlAs and sold to criminals. The BJP moved swiftly to counter the allegations with Rajnath Singh dubbing the charges as “baseless”. He asserted that tickets are been given in a “fair” manner.
BJP sources, however, said the party is unlikely to take any action against the MP till the polls are over. Singh, the former Union Home Secretary, said, “Criminals have been given tickets even before they joined the party. This is injustice to the people of Bihar. Some people have sold tickets. What is thisIJ How will we get clean administrationIJ”
