Days after senior Bengal Minister Partha Chatterjee and his close aide Aripta Chatterjee were arrested and crores of rupees were recovered from her flat causing a loss of face for the State Government, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday inducted nine new faces, including former Union Minister Babul Supriyo in the State Cabinet.
Mamata changed the portfolios of nearly half the members of the ministerial council in one of the biggest reshuffles of the cabinet since her party, the Trinamool Congress, came to power for the first time in the State in 2011.
