Amid conflicting versions that are floating around regarding the antecedents of the much-married former INX Media CEO and main accused in the Sheena Bora murder case Indrani Mukerjea, an affidavit filed by her before the Kamrup court in Guwahati that surfaced on Friday states that Sheena and Mikhail are her children from her first husband Siddharth Das and that she was a “minor” when she gave birth to the two children.

In her affidavit, Indrani states among other things that she, then 20-years-old, had separated from her husband Siddharth Das and that she had no relations with the latter since 1989.

She also states that her children Mikhail, then three-years-old, and daughter Sheena, then four-years-old, were living with her and they had no relations whatsoever with her separated husband, Siddharth Das. She also states that she has legally handed over the responsibility of bringing up her two children to her Guwahati-based parents Upendra Kumar Bora and Durga Rani Bora, the maternal grandparents of the two children.

According to the information that has surfaced so far, Indrani has had three marriages. They were with Tripura-based tea estate owner Siddhartha Das, Kolkata-based businessman Sanjeev Khanna and Mumbai-based Peter Mukerjea.

From the first marriage, Indrani had two children-Mikhail and Sheena. The affidavit indicates that she gave birth to Sheena and Mikhail from her marriage with Das.

From her second marriage with Sanjeev Khanna who is also an accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, she gave birth to a daughter Vidhie, who is now around 18-years-old and is studying in the United Kingdom. After a bitter court battle, Indrani got the custody of Vidhie from Khanna.  Vidhie has been adopted by Peter Mukerjea, Indrani’s third husband.
