Ninety-one per cent pickpockets in Metro trains are women. CISF tasked to provide security to Delhi Metro operations claimed to have apprehended 479 pickpockets this year, out of which 438 were women. The overwhelming number of women indulging in these crimes has shown a constant trend over the last few years. The CISF, after arresting these women, hands them over to the Delhi Police for legal action.
