In yet another shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was brutally raped and dumped in a public toilet in South-East Delhi’s Badarpur area on Friday evening. Police said the unidentified assailant had tried to kill her by slitting her throat with a blade. The victim was spotted by a passerby, who informed the police which took the victim to AIIMS Trauma Centre. Doctors said that her condition is very critical and she is kept in the ICU.

“On Friday around 4pm, the PCR received a call informing that a girl in a semi-nude condition was lying inside the Men’s section of the public toilet in Badarpur. Police immediately rushed to the spot, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital. She was later transferred to AIIMS Trauma Centre,” said a senior police officer.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was playing along with her friend outside her home and around 3.30 pm she had gone to bathe at the toilet. “Her private parts are severely damaged. Colostomy has been done,” said a senior doctor from All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
The incident came to light when a man who had gone to use the toilet spotted the victim in the loo. He raised an alarm and informed locals who in turn made a PCR call. “So far, several teams have been formed and police have detained 22 persons, including the security guard, who was sitting outside the toilet at the time of incident,” an officer said.
High security was deployed outside the trauma centre to avoid any public disorder.
