In a armed robbery on Friday, six masked robbers entered the Corporation Bank branch in Khaira village near Chhawla in South-West Delhi and looted Rs 3 lakh after shooting the cashier, who was declared brought dead in a city hospital. Three others were injured in the ensuing commotion after the firing.

While running away with the cash, they also took along the gun of the security guard and threatened bank employees and customers before escaping on two bikes parked outside the bank.

The robbers, who had probably done a recce of the area before committing the crime, entered the branch unchallenged and in the twinkling of an eye they were at the counter of the cashier, identified as Santosh, and shot him from the point blank range for resisting the robbery, said eyewitnesses.
