Despite the Supreme Court’s decision to adjourn the hearing of the Ram Mandir issue till January 2019, Ram Vilas Vedanti, president of Ram Janamabhoomi Nyas on Saturday said the construction of Ram temple will begin in December without an Ordinance and on the basis of the mutual agreement between Hindus and Muslims.

Vedanti also said if legislation supporting the construction of the Ram temple is passed, it would lead to unstoppable communal violence.  “We do not want violence. We want peace,” the senior VHP leader said.

Making this assertion here during  ‘Dharmadesh’, the two-day meeting of Hindu seers and saints at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, Vedanti also said the temple will be constructed in Ayodhya and a masjid will be constructed in Lucknow before 2019 elections.

As many as 3,000 Hindu saints from all the 125 communities of the Hindu religion have come together in Delhi to discuss the crucial issue of building Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The “Dharmadesh” organised by the Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samiti (ABSS), is taking place to decide their strategy on the construction of the Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya. In this regard, the Samiti is expected to pass a resolution on Sunday and condole the killing of Kar Sevaks in Ayodhya in police firing on October 30, 1990, and November 2, 1990.

Scores of seers representing 127 Hindu organisations, Shankaracharyas and top Hindu saints, including the firebrand Sadhiv Rithambara took part in Saturday’s ‘Dharmadesh’ meeting. Earlier, Rithambara had sparked off controversies while protesting during the 1992 mass movement over Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri masjid issue.

Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi, who attended the meet, also said the temple will be constructed in Ayodhya and the foundation will be laid on December 6, 2018. She added that they do not need anyone for setting up the temple.

Yoga Guru Ram Dev on Saturday said if Ram temple will not be constructed at the Ram temple site then where will it be constructed? He expressed hope by claiming that towards the end of the year, people of the country will surely witness the joy of the positive verdict for the Ram Mandir issue.

Briefing the media, Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samiti general secretary Swami Jitendra Saraswati said, “The Supreme Court upsets the saints, after this no one can predict what decision they take; but one is for sure, some big decision will for sure be taken.”
