Two more cases of rape brought further disgrace to Delhi on Sunday. An 11-year-old was raped by a rickshaw puller, Pawan Kumar (50), who lured the girl to his residence in North West Delhi’s Bhalaswa Dairy area. locals thrashed Pawan and handed him over to police. The girl is undergoing treatment at Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital.
In another incident in Outer Delhi’s Samai Pur Badli, a 15-year-old girl was taken to a nearby field by two of her neighbours at knifepoint on their motorcycle and made to consume alcohol on Friday. One of the accused, Vinod (23), raped her. His accomplice Rinku (21) has been arrested, but Vinod is absconding. A complaint was lodged on Saturday.
