A 12-year-old boy was crushed to death under the wheel of a school bus while his 10-year-old friend got seriously injured in Chanakyapuri on Friday night. The driver of British School bus was parking the vehicle near Vivekananda Camp in the area, when it hit the boys.
The driver, Rashem Pal, 57, has been arrested by police and a case under IPC Sections 304A has been registered for causing death due to negligence and rash driving.
The two children, sons of daily wage labourers, were rushed to a nearby hospital where 12-year-old Rahul was declared brought dead, while his friend, 11-year-old Jagdish, is undergoing treatment.
According to police, there were no students inside it at the time of the accident.
