Donald Trump is in trouble because he is a patriot, and the Left-liberals can’t forgive him for this sin
Former US President Donald Trump, after pleading not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a New York court, rightly said, “I never thought anything like this could happen in America. The only crime I have committed to fearlessly defend our nation.” At the heart of his arraignment is a $130,000 payment that his team made to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet and a non-disclosure agreement about her interactions with Trump in 2016. There is nothing illegal about a non-disclosure agreement. There is no charge of rape or sexual assault against Trump; it is not even alleged that he or his team benefited at the expense of the public exchequer, or that any of his family or friends gained a contract when he was in office. At worst, there was a minor financial misdemeanour; his political rivals magnified it into a million times, making it appear like a capital crime; they eagerly grabbed that hint of an opportunity to launch a witch-hunt against him. Worse, they are aided and abetted by many sections of the mainstream media, some of whom have disgraced themselves with a shamelessly partisan stand. While Trump is being prosecuted, pilloried, and denounced for a ‘crime’ none other than his wife should have complained about, US President Joe Biden is treated with kid gloves despite a mountain of evidence to suggest his brother Frank and son Hunter benefited immensely because of high office. It’s unlikely that Trump has heard of Akbar Allahabadi, but the Urdu poet perfectly summed up the ex-president’s plight: Ham aah bhii karte hai.n to ho jaate hai.n badnaam/Vo qatl bhii karte hai.n to charchaa nahi.n hotaa (We are condemned even if when we sigh/They get scot-free even after murder).
This could happen in America because its thought leaders have been corrupted by the pernicious postmodern or New Left doctrines that have infected academics, the media, and other opinion making apparatuses. Then there are the gods of destruction revel in chaos. Like George Soros, the billionaire ‘philanthropist.’ The ‘philanthropy’ he believes in and spends his billions for is violent anarchy in which the ideals, values, and norms of civilisation are subverted and replaced with Leftist ideas which have been historically discredited. One of Soros’ creations is Alvin Bragg, Manhattan’s first Black District Attorney, a doctrinaire radical Leftist from the Democratic Party. He has great faith in the anti-America critical race theory and the anti-civilisation defund police movement. Just days after taking charge, Bragg made it clear that he would not prosecute prostitution, trespassing, resisting arrest and most misdemeanors. Since his becoming DA, violent crime has zoomed in his jurisdiction as he is soft on violent criminals and tough on law-abiding citizens. And especially tough on those who are ideologically opposed to him. Like Trump.
