“Cherish values, enhance skills”

The PM rightly reminded the students the value of ethics and that their pursuit should be to enhance their skills rather than take shortcuts for success

The recent live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 'Pariksha Pe Charcha- Pariksha ki Baat 2023' was the sixth edition of the ongoing interaction with students to teach them how to drive away the specter of examination fear. The indirect or direct pressure of marks morass those unable to compete into a state of extreme anxiety and tension. Hence, the parents ought not to force their ambitions on their wards; this highlights the PM's deep concern about the well-being of the new generation. The Venerable Prime Minister further advised students to avoid shortcuts while preparing for the examination, he was replying to a question on how students can avoid cheating in the examination.

He emphasized the need for time management and microanalysis of any challenge to solve it timely. While answering the questions from students the Prime Minister showed his concern about changing value systems in society and how to encounter new challenges. He also suggested new tips for smart hard work for stress management and asked students to recognize their inner strength and never practice unfair means. He also called on parents to evaluate the right potential of their children and let them choose their careers according to their interests and should not impose their ambitions on their children. The interaction proved to be a mass movement and a great initiative to enhance the self-confidence and boost the morale of students in the transitional phase due to the rapidly changing value system across the globe. To deal with the situation, experts have talked about the course of direction, the pattern of completion of course work, the methodology of teaching, and examination. The Higher Education Information System’s recent attempt to ensure a high level of partnership among institutions through equity and access to all shows the level of insight in empowering and motivating students and faculty members.

Besides, the pursuit of the National Education Policy (NEP) to cover school, adult, and higher education and efforts towards the promotion of Indian languages and online education exhibit tremendous effort towards enhancement of the overall educational scenario. Indian universities are being encouraged to improve their performances by making a push towards more merit-based peer-reviewed research and the chimera of fulfilling the aim of 7 percent of GDP expenditure on education. A few experts are of the view that we have at least got an opportunity to analyze and address the multidimensional issues in the education sector. The pursuit of a National Education Policy to cover Schools, Adults, and Higher and efforts towards the promotion of Indian Languages and online education exhibit tremendous effort towards the enhancement of the educational scenario.

The flexibility of a Master of one and two years is another positive effort. The high performance of Indian Universities is encouraged as it makes a push towards more merit-based peer-reviewed research and the chimera of fulfilling the aim of 6 percent of GDP expenditure on the same.

Multiple viewpoints would help in broadening the ethical horizon and enhancing the decision-making capabilities while also letting the new generation know what is ethically and morally correct. Students’ success lies in contemplation of the possibility of timeless and endless hope in his/her capabilities. The Indian education system is known for embracing values and approaches that shape the creative urge of the student community. However, we all acknowledge the challenges that are posed by the increasing tentacles of the transitional phase. Although one cannot but admire the ingenious display of rich content by our traditional education set-up, the inexorable demands of competition are compelling the students to focus on content. This initiative would go a long way to open new vistas besides, this would help develop practical skills in techniques through critical thinking. When it comes to ethics it means going beyond the set clichés and moving from paradigm to paradigm shift. At the higher education platform, a departure from the methodologies of many earlier existing education parameters, the remarkable efforts by NEP provide a cutting-edge and trans-disciplinary overview of some crucial issues. The purpose of education is to improve reasoning, observation, and experimentation skills. The topics should be interesting, thought-provoking, and oriented toward reasoning, analysis, and proper application. Recent developments have established a new basis for understanding the changing nature of polity and community. The ongoing debates in contemporary politics have been dominated by the relationship between global, national, and regional levels. The purpose of the change in the policy is to provide a comprehensive view of politics and emphasize the following main areas to make the subject more relevant Not every innovative attempt starts with a serious analytical interpretation of contemporary issues, therefore, unconventional attempts ought to be tried to put forward myriad exploration of ideas and topics in which each pupil can participate and display talent. No positive attempt is to be viewed through the political prism or considered as a construction of a social narrative, the pious and genuine penchant of the policymakers is to provide a new platform for the creation of the greatest country of the world and this can only happen if new generation started getting right value system from the tertiary stage itself.
