NEET aspirant dies by suicide at coaching centre in Visakhapatnam’s Gajuwaka

A NEET aspirant from Anakapalli allegedly died by suicide at a coaching centre in Gajuwaka here, police said on Friday.
The student was undergoing coaching for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) at an institute in the Gajuwaka area, according to South Zone Circle Inspector Vasu Naidu.
Police received information about the incident and reached the coaching centre, where they began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the student's death.
The student's family was informed and further procedures were initiated, police said.
The incident has once again drawn attention to the intense pressure faced by students preparing for highly competitive medical entrance examinations.
Police are gathering information from the coaching centre and others who may have been in contact with the student to establish the circumstances leading up to the incident.
