UPSIDA steps up industrial infrastructure development

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) is continuously working towards strengthening and expanding industrial infrastructure facilities across the State in effective implementation of the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s policies relating to industrial development and investment promotion.
In line with the objective of making Uttar Pradesh a 1 trillion economy, UPSIDA is committed to providing better infrastructure facilities in industrial areas and creating a conducive environment for investment and industries. In this regard, the Chief Executive Officer of UPSIDA, Balkar Singh Ji, conducted a comprehensive site inspection of the Surajpur Industrial Area on Monday.
During the inspection, he reviewed the infrastructure facilities available in the industrial area, the ongoing and proposed infrastructure development works, and the arrangements related to the smooth functioning of industrial units.
The Chief Executive Officer obtained information from the concerned officers regarding the progress of various development and maintenance works and directed that all works be completed within the stipulated timeline, as per prescribed standards and with high quality.
He made it clear that any laxity in the quality and timely completion of development works would not be acceptable.
The Chief Executive Officer directed that the annual maintenance works in the industrial area be expedited, with particular emphasis on ensuring regular and proper cleaning of drains, maintenance of parks, beautification, and effective execution of landscaping-related works.
He stated that ensuring a clean, well-maintained and better environment in industrial areas is extremely important not only for the smooth functioning of industrial units but also from the perspective of promoting investment.
The Chief Executive Officer directed the Senior Manager (Civil) to ensure timely completion of road and drain construction as well as other civil works in accordance with prescribed standards and with high quality.
At the same time, the Senior Manager (Electrical) was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to industrial units and to ensure prompt resolution of issues and complaints related to power supply on a priority basis. He directed the concerned Regional Manager to regularly review pending cases on the Nivesh Mitra portal and ensure their early disposal.
In addition, directions were issued to ensure transparency in the allotment process of industrial plots and to identify vacant plots available in the area and take necessary action as per the applicable rules.
Following the inspection, the Chief Executive Officer held a meeting with representatives of local industrial associations. During the meeting, representatives of industrial associations and entrepreneurs apprised him of various issues and suggestions. The Chief Executive Officer directed the concerned officers to examine the issues raised and ensure their prompt resolution on a priority basis, in accordance with the applicable rules.
He stated that UPSIDA is continuously working towards providing better infrastructure facilities to industrial units, ensuring timely resolution of their issues, and creating a conducive environment for industry and investment in the State. On the occasion, concerned officers of UPSIDA and representatives of local industrial associations were present.
