Tree plantation drive held along Yamuna Authority road

As part of 12 major programmes being organised from September 17 to October 17 to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service and to promote the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, a tree plantation drive was conducted along the 50-metre-wide green belt adjoining the Yamuna Authority’s 60-metre road.
MLA Dhirendra Singh planted a sapling on the occasion. The drive was attended by Additional CEO Rajesh Kumar, General Manager (Project) Rajendra Bhati, Senior Manager (Horticulture) Dr Aarti Singh, other officials of the Authority, school students and local villagers. School children also planted saplings and highlighted the importance of trees.
They were encouraged to plant more trees and take care of them. Indigenous species such as Neem, Peepal, Banyan, Arjun and Neelkanth were planted during the drive.
