Three men booked after alleged harassment of Northeast woman at Delhi five-star hotel

Three men have been booked after allegedly harassing a woman from Nagaland and trying to forcibly pull her into a Mercedes at a five-star hotel in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri area, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place around 3.30 am on Sunday in the parking area of the hotel. According to the woman's complaint, she had gone to the hotel with a friend and was returning from the washroom when the three men, travelling in a white Mercedes, allegedly approached them and tried to pull her into their vehicle.
When her friends intervened, the accused allegedly attacked them with hockey sticks and iron rods. One of the woman's friends, identified as Ayush, suffered injuries to his teeth, while two others, Udbhav and Samarth, were also allegedly assaulted, police said.
The accused allegedly fled the spot after police arrived. The woman had noted down the vehicle's registration number, which helped police identify the three men as Divyanshu, Gaurav and Mohit. They were subsequently booked at the Chanakyapuri police station.
The woman was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for a medical examination. Police said the case was registered on the basis of her complaint and the medical report.
Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the hotel and other evidence to establish the sequence of events. The medical reports of those involved are also being examined to ascertain the injuries suffered.
Police said the accused have denied some of the allegations during questioning.
