Sustainable initiative for welfare of cows in Solan
In a unique move towards a sustainable movement, an initiative towards adoption and welfare of cows started at Parwanoo in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The initiative is for adoption of a gaushala for the well-being of the cows in a Municipal Corporation—managed gaushala at the Industrial Township, which is also a gateway to Himachal.
Alcobrew Distillery India Limited in Solan on Thursday entered into an agreement with the executive officer, Municipal Council, Parwanoo, for the adoption of the gaushala of Municipal Council, Parwanoo, in the presence of Sushil Kumar Singla, IFS, Secretary, Department of Environment, Science, Technology and Climate Change of Himachal Pradesh.
Under the agreement, Alcobrew Distillery will provide dry and green fodder for all the cows housed in the gaushala. The company will also provide medicines and necessary veterinary support as and when required. The agreement has been executed for a period of two years.
