SSC GD Constable Exam 2026 shifts cancelled at Muzaffarpur centre due to overbooking chaos

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Central Region has cancelled the second and third shifts of the SSC GD Constable Exam 2026 conducted at a centre in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, due to overcrowding and cancellation of the exam.
According to an official notice issued by the Deputy Director (Exam) of SSC Central Region, Prayagraj, the examination held on May 25, 2026, at Aadarsh Pariksha Kendra located inside the Bihar School Examination Board’s Regional Office campus in Motijheel, Muzaffarpur, was disrupted because of technical glitches.
The cancellation applies to candidates of the second shift who could not appear for the exam and all candidates scheduled for the third shift.
The Commission has assured candidates that the affected examinations will be rescheduled on a future date. Fresh admit cards for the rescheduled exam will be uploaded on the official SSC website.
Candidates have been advised to regularly check the SSC portal for updates regarding revised exam dates and admit card releases.
Earlier, on May 18, the SSC had also cancelled the first shift of the GD Constable Exam 2026 at an online examination centre in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, due to technical problems. Candidates at that centre were reportedly unable to appear for the examination because of the disruption.
The Commission said revised schedules and updated hall tickets for all affected candidates will be released in due course.
