Villagers push out CJP activists during Rajasthan school inspection

Villagers in Jaipur's Bagru assembly constituency resisted a Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) team's visit to a government primary school on Friday, allegedly pushing the activists out of the area as part of a confrontation over the group's "School Thik Karo" campaign, according to the sources.
The incident occurred at Rampura Kanwarpura village in Jaipur district, where CJP workers had gone to inspect the school and speak with students and teachers. Bagru Deputy Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Sharma said he was unaware of any such development.
Villagers reportedly barricaded the main approach road before the CJP team arrived and checked vehicles entering the area. A confrontation broke out shortly after, and the activists were pushed out of the village, sources said. The villagers later staged a sit-in outside the school, raising slogans against the CJP.
The school building has been declared unsafe and closed for students with classes currently held in a nearby cattle enclosure. Villagers, joined by BJP workers, said the building could be repaired locally and claimed the government had already sanctioned funds for the work.
The CJP team had planned to visit two government schools in Jaipur district on Friday to assess infrastructure and facilities. The visit came days after the Rajasthan government restricted entry of the public and media into government schools, following earlier CJP inspections.
CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka criticised the restriction, accusing the state education minister of trying to conceal the poor condition of government schools. "The education minister is adopting an authoritarian approach to hide the poor state of education in Rajasthan. We will not be intimidated by the government's order. Our mission will continue until the condition of all government schools in Rajasthan improves," he said.
As part of the campaign, the CJP plans to assess academic arrangements, student facilities, building conditions and other infrastructure in government schools across Rajasthan's rural belts, besides interacting with teachers and students.
