Mini bus plunges into 25-metre gorge in Uttarakhand

A mini bus with 21 passengers besides the driver onboard fell into a 25-metre-deep gorge here on the Ramgarh–Mukteshwar road on Friday, officials said.

Twenty people have been rescued safely but one person remains trapped inside the bus.

Rescue teams are using cutters to extricate him. Teams from the administration are present at the spot, they said.

The driver of the mini bus fled after the accident but police apprehended him later.
