TVK Govt’s maiden Budget to be presented on August 5

The TVK Government will present its maiden full Budget for 2026-27 on August 5 and the Agriculture Budget the following day, Tamil Nadu Speaker JCD Prabhakar informed on Tuesday.

Finance Minister N Marie Wilson will present his first General Budget to the House, while Agriculture Minister R Vinoth will present the Agriculture Budget on August 6. Following the Budget presentation, the Business Advisory Committee will meet on August 5 to determine the duration of the Assembly session and the scheduling of debates, including discussions on demand for grants, the Speaker told reporters at the Secretariat.

He exuded the hope that the session will be constructive and that there would be healthy debates.
