More than 50 members of the Tibetan Youth Congress were detained by Delhi Police on Saturday while protesting against Chinese President Xi Jinping's participation in the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
The protesters were also opposing Xi's attendance at the dinner and cultural performance being held at Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the summit.
The detention came amid heightened security in the national capital for the two-day BRICS Summit, which is being hosted by India.
