Shilpa Shinde admits sexual harassment allegation against ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ producer was false

Actor Shilpa Shinde has made a major revelation regarding her past dispute with the makers of the popular television show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, admitting that her earlier sexual harassment allegation against producer Sanjay Kohli was false.
Shilpa, who exited the sitcom in 2016 amid a contractual and financial dispute, had at the time accused the producers of harassment, non-payment of dues, and creating a hostile work environment. The case later ended in a settlement between both parties.
In a recent podcast appearance, the actor stated that she filed the complaint during a difficult phase and felt she had no other option while dealing with an ongoing legal and professional conflict. She said the matter was eventually resolved through a settlement, after which her pending payments were cleared.
Shinde further claimed that both sides had agreed not to speak publicly about each other after the resolution. She also acknowledged that the allegation had a lasting impact on the producer’s reputation.
The actor added that she later returned to work with the show’s team and described her current relationship with them as cordial. She also said she had been carrying the emotional burden of the controversy for years before deciding to publicly clarify her statement.
The controversy surrounding her exit in 2016 remains one of television’s most discussed disputes, involving contractual disagreements, legal notices, and counter-allegations between the actor and the production team.
