Seven terrorists killed in two Balochistan operations in Pakistan

Seven terrorists were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province on Friday, according to state broadcaster Radio Pakistan.
Five terrorists were killed during an operation in the Fateh Ali area of Panjgur district, while two others were killed in the Dhadhar area of Kachhi district.
Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists killed in Panjgur. Several other militants were reportedly injured during the operations.
Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province by area and one of its most resource-rich regions, has faced a prolonged insurgency by separatist militant groups, including the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has also carried out attacks in the province.
Pakistani security forces regularly conduct intelligence-based operations across Balochistan targeting militant groups and their networks.
Friday's operations came a day after security forces reported killing seven terrorists in an operation in the Badrang area of Awaran district, Radio Pakistan reported.
According to the state broadcaster, security forces have killed at least 48 terrorists in different parts of Balochistan since August 31, amid continued counterterrorism operations across the province.
