14 killed, 121 injured in Russian drone strike on shopping centre in Zelenskyy’s hometown

A Russian drone attack on a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine killed 14 people and injured 121 others on Friday, local authorities said.
Among those injured were 22 children, local administration head Oleksandr Vilkul said. The rescue operation was still underway.
Kryvyi Rih is the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who said the attack involved what he described as a "double-tap" strike.
According to Zelenskyy, an initial wave of drones hit the area, followed by another strike as rescue workers were responding to the damage.
"Attacks like these are nothing less than terrorist acts," Zelenskyy said in a post on social media.
Authorities said the death toll could change as rescue teams continued their search at the site.
