Ravinder Indraj Singh inaugurates water pipeline projects in Bawana

Delhi Social Welfare and Cooperative Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh on Sunday inaugurated new Delhi Jal Board pipeline projects at Jat Khor village and near Kali Mata Mandir in Prakash Vihar under the Bawana Assembly constituency. The project aims to improve access to a clean and uninterrupted water supply for residents in the area.
The minister said the new pipeline works are part of the Delhi Government’s effort to strengthen basic civic infrastructure in unauthorised colonies and rural parts of the Capital. He said work related to water supply, drainage systems, roads, and footpaths is being carried out across several localities in Bawana.
Addressing residents during the inauguration programme, Singh said the government’s focus is on ensuring that development reaches people directly through improved public services and infrastructure. “Development cannot be measured only through announcements. Real development is when facilities reach people’s homes,” the minister said.
He added that the Delhi government is working to provide better water supply systems, upgraded sewer networks, and improved civic amenities to residents across the city. According to him, long-pending infrastructure issues in several colonies are now being addressed through new projects.
The minister said many areas in outer Delhi had suffered for years due to poor civic infrastructure, including damaged pipelines, sewer overflow, and waterlogging problems. He said the newly launched projects are intended to provide long-term relief to residents facing such difficulties.
