Rahul Gandhi meets Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim over breakfast, discusses India-Malaysia ties

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi met Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim over breakfast on Sunday and discussed India-Malaysia relations.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was also present at the meeting. The Congress shared pictures of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from their breakfast meeting with Ibrahim.

The meeting took place a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Ibrahim on cooperation in areas including trade, semiconductors, infrastructure and defence.

Modi and Ibrahim had met on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit here.

Malaysia is a partner country in the BRICS grouping and is also an important partner for India within the ASEAN grouping.  (with inputs from PTI)
