President on 5-day summer sojourn to Himachal

President Droupadi Murmu will visit Himachal Pradesh on a five-day summer sojourn beginning Monday, her office said. During her visit, President Murmu will stay at the Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra, Shimla, it said.

The President will visit Himachal Pradesh from April 27 to May 1, 2026, for the summer sojourn, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement issued on Sunday.

On April 28, she will attend a banquet hosted by the Himachal Pradesh governor at Lok Bhavan, Shimla. On April 29, she will visit the Atal Tunnel, the statement said.

Murmu will grace the convocation ceremony of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya at Palampur on April 30.

On the same day, she will host an ‘At Home’ reception at Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra, it said. “On May 1, the President will visit the Army Training Command, Shimla, before leaving for Delhi,” the statement added.
