President Murmu, PM Modi to attend Odisha BJP Government’s second anniversary event on June 20

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Odisha government's second anniversary celebrations on June 20 in Rairangpur, the hometown of the President. The event will mark two years of the BJP-led government in the state under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
According to an official statement, a grand public meeting will be organised in Rairangpur in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district. Chairing a high-level review meeting, Chief Minister Majhi directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for security, traffic management, public amenities and parking facilities to ensure the smooth conduct of the high-profile event.
The Chief Minister emphasised that special attention must be given to every aspect of the programme since both the President and the Prime Minister will be present. Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner DK Singh and top Home Department officials, attended the review meeting to assess preparations.
The President and the Prime Minister are also expected to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several key development projects during their visit. The government is likely to use the occasion to highlight achievements made during the BJP administration's two-year tenure in the state.
Mayurbhanj MP Naba Charan Majhi said President Murmu is expected to arrive in Rairangpur on June 19, while Prime Minister Modi will join the celebrations on June 20. He noted that this will be the first time both the President and the Prime Minister will jointly attend a public programme in Rairangpur, making it a landmark event for the region.
