Police trace 193 missing people, including 48 children in June

According to the police, those rescued between June 1 and June 30 comprised 48 children and 145 adults. The district police made the recoveries through coordinated search operations involving local enquiries, analysis of CCTV footage, and extensive fieldwork. The search operations involved circulating photographs of missing persons at bus stands, railway stations, and auto and e-rickshaw stands, as well as making enquiries with bus drivers, conductors, vendors, and local informers. Police also checked records at nearby police stations and hospitals to establish the missing persons’ movements. Officials said the district has recovered a total of 866 missing persons so far this year, including 226 children and 640 adults, between January 1 and June 30.
