PM Modi departs for Norway after elevating India-Sweden Strategic Partnership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed for Norway after concluding his official visit to Sweden, where India and Sweden elevated their bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership.
During his visit to Sweden, PM Modi held detailed discussions with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, focusing on strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as trade, technology, innovation and defence.
The visit marked an important milestone in India-Sweden relations, with both sides agreeing to expand collaboration in emerging areas and deepen economic engagement.
Following the successful conclusion of his Sweden tour, the Prime Minister left for Norway, where he is scheduled to participate in the India-Nordic Summit and hold bilateral talks with the country’s leadership.
This visit is particularly significant as it marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway in 43 years, highlighting renewed momentum in India-Nordic relations.
In Norway, discussions are expected to focus on boosting bilateral trade, enhancing investment opportunities and strengthening cooperation in areas of clean energy, maritime affairs and sustainable development.
