Over 28,000 citizens avail Govt schemes at camps on day two

A record 28,107 citizens visited various centres on the second day and directly availed themselves of different Government schemes and services. They received information related to various Government schemes, services and grievance redressal, and completed the required procedures at the camps.

Expressing satisfaction over the large public participation, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the widespread response to the Jan Kalyan Shivir is proof that the Delhi Government has been successful in taking public services directly to the people’s doorstep. She said that when citizens can access officials from multiple departments under one roof close to their homes, it saves both time and effort.

According to official figures, 15,866 people attended the camps on the first day. With this, the total number of citizens who have visited the camps over the first two days has reached 43,973. These citizens have availed Government services and submitted applications for the resolution of their grievances through the camps.

For the second consecutive day, the Trilokpuri centre recorded the highest footfall, with 1,349 citizens visiting the camp. It was followed by the Gokalpur centre, which saw 1,335 visitors. Participation also rose significantly at the Savitri Nagar centre, where 1,253 citizens arrived seeking solutions to their concerns. The East Loni Road centre also recorded a notable turnout of 1,246 citizens. In addition, attendance crossed the 1,000 mark at several other centres, including Najafgarh Stadium (1,121), Vikaspuri (1,051) and Rajouri Garden (1,130).

“Citizens visiting the camps are primarily applying for and availing benefits under welfare schemes and services such as ration cards, Ayushman Cards, old-age and widow pensions, new water connections, Aadhaar registration, e-Shram cards, the Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. Officials from various departments are verifying documents on the spot and completing the required processes without delay,” according to a press statement.
