NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak: NTA tells Supreme Court it has introduced wide-ranging security reforms

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has informed the Supreme Court that it has undertaken wide-ranging security reforms in response to the NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy, according to an ANI report.

The agency submitted that several structural and procedural upgrades have been implemented to strengthen the examination system and prevent future breaches. It also assured the apex court that these measures are aimed at restoring transparency, credibility, and public trust in the conduct of national-level entrance examinations.

The development comes amid ongoing judicial scrutiny of alleged irregularities in NEET UG 2026, where petitions have demanded reforms, accountability, and in some cases, a complete overhaul of the examination body. The Supreme Court is currently reviewing responses from the Centre, NTA, and investigating agencies in the matter.
