Nara Lokesh holds talks with Sberbank on AI Collaboration

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh met Sberbank Senior Vice President Albert Yefimov in Moscow to discuss collaboration opportunities in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

The meeting focused on the potential expansion of Sberbank’s GigaChat large language model across key sectors in India, including banking, public administration, and retail. Both sides explored avenues for leveraging advanced AI solutions to drive innovation and digital transformation.

Lokesh also discussed possibilities for establishing world-class AI partnerships that could support Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to emerge as a leading hub for future technologies, research, and innovation.

The talks are part of the Andhra Pradesh government's broader efforts to attract global technology investments, foster innovation-driven growth, and strengthen the state's position in the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.

Officials said the discussions highlighted opportunities for knowledge exchange, technology collaboration, and the development of advanced digital infrastructure to support next-generation applications across industries.
