Man Allegedly Dragged on Car Bonnet for 2 Km in Telangana’s Meerpet

A middle-aged man was allegedly dragged on the bonnet of a moving car for nearly two kilometres in Meerpet following a road dispute, police said.
According to officials, the incident took place when the man and his son were travelling on a two-wheeler. Police said the motorcycle was being driven by the son, while a car was moving in the same direction on the road. An argument reportedly broke out between the two sides, leading to a confrontation.
During the altercation, the man allegedly landed on the bonnet of the car. Instead of stopping, the driver reportedly continued moving the vehicle for around two kilometres, creating panic among commuters and bystanders in the area.
Locals who witnessed the incident alerted authorities, while some reportedly tried to stop the vehicle. The man was later rescued and police reached the spot soon after receiving information.
Officials said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas and collecting statements from witnesses to establish the sequence of events.
Authorities are also trying to trace the driver and determine whether the act was intentional or the result of a sudden altercation. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
The incident has sparked concern over rising cases of road rage and reckless driving.
