Khan Sir to surrender in Patna Court in Coaching Centre attack case

Popular educator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, will surrender before a civil court in Patna on Saturday in connection with an ongoing investigation into an attack on his coaching institute earlier this week. The move came after an FIR was registered in the case and reports suggested that police teams were attempting to locate him for questioning.

The controversy stems from an incident on Tuesday night when a group of individuals allegedly vandalised the Khan Global Studies Institute and pelted stones at the premises. Following the disturbance, police launched an investigation and later named Khan Sir in the FIR. Authorities have stated that all aspects of the incident, including allegations of violence and firing, are being examined as part of the probe.

Legal scrutiny intensified after charges including attempt to murder and provisions of the Arms Act were invoked in the case. Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya Sharma had earlier indicated that Khan Sir would be questioned regarding the events surrounding the attack and the subsequent developments.

The investigation gained further momentum after two security guards employed at the coaching institute were detained for allegedly opening fire during the disturbance. A video circulating on social media purportedly showed gunshots being fired, prompting police to investigate the circumstances under which the shots were discharged. One of the guards has reportedly claimed that he acted on instructions, a claim that investigators are examining.

The case has also been complicated by allegations from representatives of a rival coaching institute, who accused Khan Sir of orchestrating the vandalism. These claims have not been independently verified and remain part of the broader investigation. Police have maintained that no conclusions will be drawn until all evidence is thoroughly examined.
