Karnataka completes digitisation of 77.33 % enumeration forms under SIR

Karnataka has digitised over 4.28 crore Enumeration Forms (EFs), accounting for 77.33 % of the state's 5.54 crore electors, as the SIR of electoral rolls gathered pace, Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukkumar said on Wednesday, July 29.
The CEO's daily update said 4,28,64,662 enumeration forms had been digitised as on July 29, while 6.65 lakh electors (1.20 %) had submitted their forms online.
The house-to-house enumeration and digitisation exercise is scheduled to continue till August 8.
According to the update, 86.64 lakh electors (15.63 %) were marked as absent, shifted, dead/deleted or duplicate and others (ASDDO), 11.92 lakh (2.15 %) were found untraceable or absent, 53.39 lakh (9.63 %) had permanently shifted, 15.14 lakh (2.73 %) were identified as deceased, and 5.74 lakh (1.04 %) were found to be already enrolled elsewhere.
District-wise, Udupi recorded the highest EF digitisation at 92.90 %, followed by Haveri at 90.67 % and Uttara Kannada (90.39 %), while Bengaluru Urban stood at 49.28 %, BBMP North at 47.03 %, BBMP Central at 45.42 % and BBMP South at 43.39 %.
