Kamrup holds awareness drive on VB-GRAM-G

A District-Level Panch Sanmelan to sensitise Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives on the provisions and implementation of the Viksit Bharat — Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 (VB-GRAM-G) was held on Thursday at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office, Amingaon. The programme was attended by the District Commissioner, Kamrup, Deba Kumar Mishra, along with officials and Panchayati Raj Institution representatives from across the district.

The District Commissioner provided an overview of the objectives and vision of the VB-GRAM-G initiative, highlighting its role in strengthening rural livelihoods and accelerating inclusive development. He encouraged Panchayat representatives to undertake development initiatives, ensure the protection and maintenance of community assets, uphold transparency in implementation, prepare comprehensive action plans, constitute effective monitoring and review committees, and ensure the timely execution of approved works for the benefit of rural communities.
