Junaid Khan says he no longer involves father Aamir Khan in his films after 'Ek Din' failure

Actor Junaid Khan has said that he no longer involves his father, Aamir Khan, in his film decisions following the underperformance of his recent release Ek Din.
Speaking in a recent interview, Junaid reflected on his experience working on the film, which was produced under Aamir Khan’s banner but failed to meet box office expectations.
Junaid said that while the team had high hopes for the project, the response from audiences did not match their expectations. He added that such outcomes are part of the film industry and every project does not necessarily connect with viewers.
The actor also clarified that although Aamir Khan remains supportive of his work, he now prefers to make independent choices regarding his career. He said involving his father in production decisions could slow down the frequency of his film releases.
Junaid has had a mixed start in films so far. While his debut Maharaj received critical appreciation, his theatrical releases Loveyapa and Ek Din did not perform well commercially.
Despite setbacks, Junaid said he continues to value the learning process and is focused on improving with each project rather than relying on family backing for creative decisions.
