Jharkhand MLA's son allegedly abducted, recovered within hours

Ranchi, Sep 7 (PTI) Jharkhand MLA Janardan Paswan's son, who was allegedly abducted on Monday, was recovered within hours of a search operation, police said.
Chatra MLA Paswan had claimed that unidentified people 'abducted' his son in a four-wheeler as he was leaving a private university in Ranchi.
The incident allegedly took place outside the gate of a private university within Vidhan Sabha police station limits, police said.
"His son was recovered from the same police station area. Interrogation is underway. Details will be shared later," Ranchi SSP Rakesh Ranjan told PTI.
Earlier, the LJP (RV) legislator told reporters, "My son is a law student. He was coming out of the university when three or four people came in a four-wheeler and beat him severely. They fled after forcibly taking him into the vehicle."
Prima facie, it appears to be a case of an internal dispute, another police official said.
He said an altercation had taken place among some youths on the university campus, which led to the incident.
