Jagan Reddy launches fierce attack on Andhra Govt

Andhra Pradesh former chief minister and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on the Government led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, accusing it of failing on governance, welfare, law and order, and financial management during its two years in office.
Addressing party leaders and supporters in Tadepalli, Jagan alleged that the State administration had become synonymous with “broken promises, corruption, suppression of dissent, and propaganda-driven governance.” He claimed that people were struggling with rising living costs and economic uncertainty, while the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Government had abandoned its election assurances.
Calling the present situation “Jungle Raj,” he remarked that “Babu surety - cheating guarantee” was being proven true every day. Jagan strongly criticised the Amaravati Capital development project, warning that it could push Andhra Pradesh into a severe debt trap. He said the proposed MAVIGAN Capital Corridor, linking Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Gannavaram, was a more practical and financially sustainable alternative due to its existing infrastructure network.
According to him, Amaravati would require nearly Rs 2 lakh crore for basic infrastructure, while borrowings and commitments linked to the project had already crossed Rs 47,000 crore. The YSRCP chief also targeted the Government over law-and-order issues, alleging misuse of police machinery, political vendetta, and intimidation of Opposition leaders and supporters.
He accused the Government of filing FIRs and pressuring social media platforms to remove content related to alleged corruption and irregularities. Jagan further alleged that welfare schemes for women, students, SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, and unemployed youth had been neglected. Concluding his remarks, he said YSRCP governance focused on welfare, healthcare, education, and transparency, while the present administration thrived on “propaganda, debt, and broken promises.”
