Actor Imran Khan shares selfie from police van after detention at Mumbai protest

Bollywood actor Imran Khan, known for his role in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, was among hundreds of protesters detained by Mumbai Police on Saturday during a demonstration seeking the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Khan shared a selfie from inside a police van on Instagram after his detention, captioning it, “Apparently I'm going for a drive.”

The post drew attention on social media, with fans expressing support for the actor and others commenting on his seemingly relaxed response to being taken into custody.

The protest was held at August Kranti Maidan in support of the campaign demanding Kumar's resignation. Police intervened to disperse the gathering and reportedly detained more than 400 people.

Khan's participation also surprised some supporters, as the actor had stepped away from mainstream films for several years before making occasional public appearances.
