Girls again take top honours at Bihar Foundation NICE 2026 round–I

National, Zonal and State winners announced as girl students from across India shine in the second round of the National Inter-College Crossword Expedition, organised by Extra-C and the Crossword Federation of India (CWFI), with support from the Bihar Foundation and the Central Bank of India.

Adya Singh of St Stephen’s College emerged as the National Champion, while Tisha Taneja of IIT Madras and Arnav V Raju of IIT Delhi secured the second and third positions respectively. The competition witnessed an exceptional display of vocabulary, reasoning and analytical skills by participants from diverse academic institutions, according to a press release.

Girls once again dominated the championship, with Adya Singh of and Tisha Taneja of IIT Delhi claiming the top two slots and female participants securing several Zonal and State honours.

The championship attracted entries from students pursuing engineering, medicine, law, management, humanities and science.

Congratulating the winners, the organisers appreciated the remarkable standard of participation and the enthusiastic response received from colleges and universities across the country.

With participation continuing to grow every year, Bihar Foundation NICE has established itself as one of India’s premier inter-college intellectual competitions, providing students with a unique national platform.
