GDA demolishes illegal colony in Muradnagar area

On 10 September 2026, under the leadership of the Officer-in-Charge, Enforcement Zone-2, a demolition action was carried out by Anurag Garg and Pankaj Chaudhary against an illegal colony being developed over approximately 11,000 square metres at Khasra No 322, Village Mohaddinpur, Hisali-Kanoja Road, Muradnagar, and Ghaziabad.

During the inspection, it was found that illegal plotting had been carried out at the site. The developers had also encroached upon and incorporated drainage land into the illegal plotting. No valid approval or land records were produced at the site.

The construction/development work was stopped, and demolition proceedings were subsequently carried out against the illegal development.

During the demolition operation, local builders and colonisers strongly opposed the action. However, the GDA Police Force brought the situation under control, allowing the demolition operation to continue smoothly.

The demolition action was carried out in the presence of the Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, and the entire staff of Enforcement Zone-2, GDA Police Force, and the GDA Enforcement Squad.

The GDA has stated that the campaign against unauthorised construction and illegal colonies will continue, with demolition and sealing actions to be carried out at other such sites in the coming months as well.
